Meeting Thursday August 17th 2006

Dublin's new social centre

This weeks Seomra Spraoi meeting will take place in our all new social centre at 7.30pm on Thursday, 17th August 2006. Everyone interested in getting involved or using the centre is urged to attend.

The Seomra Spraoi collective have worked for over a year to get to this stage. Now it is up to each and every one of us to exploit this resource and use the new space to its full potential. The space is on the first floor of a city centre building. The location is brilliant and the view is excellent.

The Bad Books library is in the process of being set up, as is the Forgotten Zine library. There is a kitchen area that with a bit of work would be perfect for preparing food and possibly holding occassional cafes. There is plenty of space to hold workshops or film screenings. Some groups have already moved their weekly meetings to Seomra Spraoi. All suggestions for the social centre are very, very welcome.

For more information, for directions to Seomra Spraoi or to get involved please mail seomraspraoi@gmail.com and also see www.seomraspraoi.org

Remember, the number one thing that we need right now is you!

Donations, Standing Orders or time needed.

Donations, Standing Orders or time needed.

Things are beginning to stir, Seomra Spraoi is re-emerging! In the next few weeks, lots of help will be needed to get Dublin's social centre off the ground. Hopefully soon we'll be able to confirm our new venue. Until then if you want to get involved please contact us. Any donations are very, very welcome. Details below can be used to set up a standing order. Stand orders of as little as €5 a month will make a big difference for us.

Thank you.

Seomra Spraoi account:

Blackrock Credit Union ltd.

1 Tivoli Road, Blackrock, Co. Dublin
a/c name: Seomra Spraoi
A/C Reference: 8520 HF - Seomra

When setting up a standing order to the this Credit Union account you will also need the following account details:

Payment A/C ref. no: 8520 HF - seomra
Beneficiary name: Blackrock Credit Union Ltd.
Beneficiary A/C designation:
Bank of Ireland, Main St, Blackrock, Co Dublin
Beneficiary’s bank sort code: 90-10-28
Beneficiary A/C no: 17280184

The Reference is very important: without it the credit union will not know whose account to put the money in, therefore, add "Seomra" to the reference.

Of course the other easy option is to chat with any people actively involved in seomra spraoi and they can take your account details and organise the standing order on your behalf.
